Classes & Calendar
Madrasah Classes
We encourage parents to enrol their child for the full 4 year programme from the ages of 7-11 years. Priority is given to students who are aged 7-8 years.
Teaching Session
We expect students to arrive at 4.20pm. Lessons start at 4.30pm and end at 6.30pm.
The madrasah runs for students aged 7-11 and admissions are primarily for 7-8 year olds.
Classes are organised based on fluency in the Qur'ān, Arabic language and age.
The madrasah runs from 4:30pm – 6:30pm Monday – Friday during term time (please see term
dates).
Levels
Classes are organised based on the age, ability and fluency of Qur'ānic
Arabic.
We have limited spaces and on opening we will have spaces for
the following levels of ability:
Basic
This class is for students who are at the early stages of learning the Arabic alphabet, the harakat and joining up letters in Arabic.
Intermediate
This class is for students who have completed the basics of Qur'ān recitation and are trying to achieve fluency.
Advanced
This class is for students who have achieved a good level of fluency. Some students may begin a programme of memorisations under the supervision of the teacher.
Classes are organised based on the age, ability and fluency of Qur'ānic Arabic. We have limited spaces and on opening we will have spaces for the following levels of ability:
Advanced
(Class of Umar & Class of Abu Bakr)
These classes are for those who have achieved fluency in the tajweed rules and now aim to recite the holy Qur'ān from memory and perfect their recitation. As well as those who have achieved a stable foundation in the Arabic language such that lessons are taught primarily in Arabic.
Intermediate
(Class of Uthman)
The class is for students who have completed the basics of the Arabic language, and they are reading the Qur'ān with the tajweed rules whilst now working towards achieving fluency.
Advanced Basic
(Class of Hasan and Class of
Ali)
These classes are suited to students who are at the early stages of learning the Arabic alphabet, the ḥarakāt and joining up the letters in Arabic. As well as building an elementary understanding of the Arabic language.
